The 2017 version of Homer Rader's annual wagon train ride from Columbiana Farm
pulled out on Wednesday morning, July 12th this year. There were three wagons at the start of the ride as the temperatures promised to be in the low 90's with
high humidity each day. We spent 3 days crossing through Bourbon, Nicholas, Bath and Fleming Counties traveling over to the farm of Danny Crawford for his weekend
wagon ride. On Thursday evening, we were joined by two more wagons for the final day's ride. The weatherman didn't cut us any breaks during the trek as it stayed
hot and humid the entire time, but there was a pretty good breeze for much of the way and the only rain that occurred was on Friday afternoon when a few short showers
arrived just in time to help keep the animals cool for the last few hills of the trip. Other than the typical mid-July heat, the ride went well with only a few minor
